Direct Observation

A Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) observes your child in our center. Sometimes this takes place in your home or through telehealth. During this observation, the BCBA engages your child in what might look like play. Don’t worry, this is actually a professional assessment to gather important insights about their skills, behaviors, and developmental needs. They also assess your child’s level and determine how much therapy will be needed to support their growth.

Assessment and Treatment Plan

Next, the BCBA conducts a thorough assessment using standardized tests, parent interviews, and questionnaires. The treatment plan is detailed but broad enough to guide their progress until they graduate ABA therapy.

Note: Don’t play up your child’s abilities or make them seem more independent than they are. Be honest about their most challenging moments to ensure the plan reflects their needs and is covered by insurance.

Internal Review

Before the treatment plan is finalized, it goes through Flywheel’s Quality Assurance team. This thorough review ensures the plan is both comprehensive and meets our high standards for care. It also ensures the plan complies with any regulatory or insurance requirements, so there are no delays when moving forward.

Parent Signature

Once approved by our team, the treatment plan is shared with you. We  walk you through the plan and answer any questions. As soon as you review and sign it, we submit it to your insurance provider.

Insurance Approval

We handle the submission of the treatment plan to your insurance company and advocate for your child’s services.

Therapy Begins

Once the insurance provider gives the green light, therapy can officially begin! Your child will start working with our team to reach the goals outlined in their personalized treatment plan.
