What You’ll Do as a Behavioral Therapis

As a BT at Flywheel Centers, you’ll work one-on-one with children with autism, implementing personalized therapy plans under the guidance of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Your days will be filled with:

When you join our team as a Behavioral Therapist, no two days are exactly alike. You might start your morning helping a four-year-old practice conversation skills through play, then work with a six-year-old on developing social skills during group activities.

Do I need experience to become a Behavioral Therapist?

No prior experience is required. We provide comprehensive training to all new hires and pair you with an experienced mentor to guide your development.

Absolutely! Many of our therapists are college students who work around their class schedules. We offer flexible options including mornings, afternoons, and some evenings.

The most successful therapists share a genuine love for working with children, natural patience, reliability, adaptability, positive energy, and eagerness to learn and grow.

Starting pay ranges from $18-22 per hour – significantly higher than most retail or food service jobs – with opportunities for increases based on performance and additional certifications.

Most major insurance plans cover autism assessments. Our dedicated insurance team will verify your benefits before scheduling and advocate for maximum coverage. We work with commercial insurance plans, TRICARE, traditional state Medicaid plans, and managed care partners.
